Reporting incidents

If you are suffering from anti social behaviour, domestic abuse or hate crime or harassment or you have witnessed someone else being the victim, you can report it to us in the following ways:

  • Using our online report form;
  • Visiting one of our offices;
  • Calling our freephone number and reporting incidents 24 hours a day;
  • Speaking to a member of staff;
  • Report from a third party on your behalf such as councillors, MPs, or other agencies.

To help us know what is happening and to help us act appropriately, we will need to know information about the incident(s).  This includes:

  • What type of incident has happened (e.g physical assault, verbal abuse etc)?
  • Where and when did the incident happen?
  • Who is or are affected by the incident(s)?
  • Do you know the name(s) of those causing the problem?
  • Who else have you reported the incident(s) to?

Where there are instances of criminal behaviour or activity, you should also report incidents to the police or to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Our response time depends on the type of incident that you have reported to us but here is a guide to when you can expect us to contact you by:
