Getting ready for Universal Credit

The Government have introduced a new benefit called Universal Credit. This replaces a range of existing benefits and will be paid direct to claimants via a suitable account as one single monthly payment. Universal Credit must also be applied for online.

Local employers, training and education providers are coming together on Friday 26 September for a jobs fair at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall to advertise live job vacancies and apprenticeships, offer training support and advice on anything from starting a business, money matters and wellbeing, at Live Local Work Local, a free event for local residents from 10am to 4pm.
